Description: This feature class is under continual update and revision as new annexations take place, and old annexations are cataloged. It is the intended outcome for this geodatabase to contain a consise record of all annexations into the City of Columbia.The data is maintained by Planning and Development. The boundaries are based up parcels within the COC GIS system. Any updates are done via annexations approved by the city. The parcels are verified at the time of the annexation to guarentee accuracy of where the boundary should be drawn. The outer boundary of each district should match the city limit boundary exactly.The spatial accuracy is estimated to be +/- 10 feet but can be worse in some circumstances.
